HADco is the competitive dance team of the Houston Academy of Dance.

 

Students showcase their performance talents for a host of adjudicators through a yearly season.

 

HADco allows dancers to hone technique using competitive performing as a vehicle. 

• Improve the ability to memorize and execute choreography

• Dance as a member of an ensemble

• Consider professional careers 

• Have fun meeting new friends and inspiring experiences in dance. 

 

HADco is comprised of students currently enrolled in ballet and jazz.

 

Members of HADco participate in class and rehearsal weekly.  During the season, the team attends dance conventions, and competitions. These are in addition to participation in our Annual Summer Intensive and Season Choreography Workshop.

 

As dancers progress within the team, opportunities to compete solo, duet, or trio dances are possible.

 

Auditions are held yearly in May for students who are in levels Ballet I and/or Jazz I and above.
